Designofhydro-elastic model tests of  a 5000 meters floating bridge in an ocean basin is not an easy task. The size of an ocean basin and the size of the bridge are only two of the many challenges that the engineers & researchers need to takecare of. The generation of environmental conditions is another challenge that could potentially impact the quality of the tests significantly.Installation of a gigantic model is demanding, considering the accuracy of the installation and strength of modelcomponents. Significant amount of preparation and design work should be carriedout beforehand ona case-specificbasis.The presentation shares some thoughts the presenter went through in the process of such a task.

主讲人介绍

挪威国家公路管理局技术咨询中心高级浮式结构专家,挪威科大海洋水动力学博士,美国机械工程师协会/国际桥梁及结构工程协会会员,挪威科技大学兼职博士生导师,哈尔滨工程大学客座教授。自2003年起先后工作于中国船舶科学研究中心,挪威科技大学,挪威船级社DNV总部及挪威GM海事咨询公司总部,从事各型船舶/潜器/海洋平台/离岸渔场设计、海事保险审查与模型测试工作。2015年起在挪威国家公路局浮桥及悬浮隧道的项目组负责设计项目技术跟进及模型试验工作。
