In recent years, graphitic carbon nitride has been developed as a new carbon-based photocatalyst for many applications. Meanwhile, solar light is a sustainable energy supply to the earth and its transformation and utilisation is a hot topic in academics and industries. In this seminar, I will present our latest research in using graphitic carbon nitride for catalytic oxidation of toxic organics for water treatment and solar light photocatalytic water splitting to generate hydrogen and oxygen.
