Recent Progress on Chiral Brønsted Acid Catalysis

Masahiro Terada received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D degrees from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. He became an assistant professor, Tokyo Institute of Technology since 1997. He joined the Tohoku University in 2001 and was appointed as a Full Professor in 2006. In 1999 and 2005, he was a Visiting Researcher and Associate Professor at the Harvard University and Hokkaido University, respectively. His field of interest includes development of new and useful synthetic methodologies based on the design of novel chiral Brønsted acid and base catalysts, development of novel synthetic reactions using transition metal catalysts, and novel molecular transformations directed toward creation of environmentally benign processes.

Construction and Biopanning of Phage Display Nanobod

Serge Muyldermans教授1982年在比利时布鲁塞尔的“布鲁塞尔自由大学”（Vrije Universiteit Brussel）获得博士学位。随后，在其博士后工作期间首次在骆驼科动物身上发现了只有重链功能的单域抗体。被誉为“纳米抗体之父”。在此基础上，他开发了一种简化的方法来快速鉴定源自骆驼科动物独特重链抗体的抗原特异性单结构域抗体片段。该技术成为2001年12月成立的比利时最大的私人生物技术公司Ablynx NV的核心技术。作为股东之一，Serge Muyldermans教授指导该公司积极开发基于纳米抗体的药物，继而成为全球第一大的纳米抗体药物研发制剂公司。2018年1月赛诺菲提出要约，以3.9亿欧元的巨资收购Ablynx。自2003年，Serge Muyldermans成为“布鲁塞尔自由大学”的教授以来，他已在国际顶尖学术期刊上发表了200多篇文章，引用次数高达19500次引用，h指数为66。
