活动简介:

Kazuki Nakanishi, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University. He received some awards, such as D. R. Ulrich Award, International Sol-Gel Society, 1997/09, Vittorio Gottardi Memorial Prize,  International Commission on Glass, 1999/06, and Academic Prize of the Ceramic Society of Japan, The Ceramic Society of Japan, 2006/05. During 2011/08-2013/08, he was the Vice President of International Sol-Gel Society. From 2016/04, he has been the member of Steering Committee for Low Temperature Material Science Research Support Office, RIKEN Science Promotion Division. He is engaged in sol-gel derived porous materials. He is the author of >260 publications with >6500 total citations, the holder of >50 patents, and the co-author of >20 books.

His research topic is structure control of porous materials via solution-based synthesis, which is preparation of porous inorganic/organic-inorganic hybrid materials through precise control over pore formation process in liquid-phase synthesis such as sol-gel. Applications to separation science, super heat-insulation, catalysis and electrochemistry are anticipated.
